ChatGPT is built on top of OpenAI. Open AI also powers another language model called DALL·E 2, which creates realistic images and art based on simple descriptions using natural language. There are other AI tools like Midjourney and Craiyon that work similarly.

As a web designer or graphic designer, there are several use cases for AI models like DALL·E 2 that can enhance your design process. I’ll cover a few popular ones here.

One important point I want to note here is that these models use existing content, in this case, images, to create new ones. Suppose you are creative or someone who appreciates the effort it takes to create beautiful art, photography, or designs for apps or websites. In that case, you may have issues with AI generating art or images similar to yours or other artists’ work or styles without credit, approval, or payment. This is a raging debate that will hopefully have some resolution for all sides as AI evolves.
